Tony Stewart Racing, McMahan Prepare For Next Round of World of Outlaws Sprint Series Action
INDIANAPOLIS (August 22, 2007) -- With a second round of Canadian World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series action behind them, Tony Stewart Racing's Paul McMahan and the No. 20 TSR/Bass Pro Shops/Eagle team head in a southwesterly direction and back across the U.S. border. When the nomadic series stops again this week, they'll end up in Alger, Wash., for a two-day event at Skagit Speedway.
For McMahan, the return to Washington will be a walk down Memory Lane. It's been nine years since the California-born McMahan competed at the 3/10-mile, high-banked oval. And this weekend's racing action will also mark his first-ever trip to the track competing with the World of Outlaws Series.
In 54 WoO starts this season, McMahan has earned two wins, 11 top-five finishes, 29 top-10s and seven quick time awards. He enters this week's events ranked eighth in the WoO Sprint Series championship standings with 7,051 points.

Having crossed the border into Canada for the second time this year, are you looking forward to heading to Washington late this week?
"Even though it rained quite a bit while we were in Canada, we had a great couple of days at Castrol Raceway. The fans were very excited to have the World of Outlaws Sprint Series compete at their track, and we were able to put on a great show both nights. I think it's pretty cool that we've expanded into a different market. But I am ready to head into Washington this week, mostly for personal reasons. I used to go watch my brother, Bobby, race at Skagit in the Dirt Cup event each year. When I got into Sprint car racing, we used to race each other there and it was just a great time. I won a few races up there in the early part of my career, as well. It will be the first time in almost 10 years that I've run at Skagit and I'd really like to mark my return by getting a win in the Bass Pro Shops/Chevrolet/Eagle."
